Designed cooling systems for vacuum induction furnaces including pumps and heat exchangers for new building processes. Subsequently, ISI was asked to upgrade existing production cooling processes with a similar design to improve reliability and reduce maintenance. ISI helped select the design operating conditions and provided an efficient and cost effective solution that was installed by plant personnel. ISI also designed a second cooling system for components that needed cooler temperatures (power supplies) using an evaporative assisted heat exchanger. This saved the cost of a chiller unit. The customer installed the systems with minimal down time, and depends on ISI for engineering support.
