Intel
Hillsboro & Aloha, OR.

Participated in numerous projects ranging from $50,000 to $1.2 million construction costs. ISI participated as a team member within the Intel culture that required keeping commitments and meeting project goals. Some of the project included:

  • A 23,000 square foot, class 100 clean room facilities was designed to expand an existing testing equipment area. Concentrated high temperature heat sources off the process equipment were encountered. ISI matched the individual heat source loads with appropriate airflow. After project completion, Intel performed a thermocouple temperature gradient test to confirm that the HVAC system met performance requirements.

  • A 174,000 square foot dry/wet production facility was laid out to accommodate a new product assembly and testing operation. ISI worked as member of the design/construction team to provide HVAC and piping designs to meet the six-month project schedule. Productivity increased throughout the construction phase, which was accomplished by integrating team efforts during each of the multiple equipment moves.

  • A small physics lab had an unacceptable temperature variation of +/- 2 °F. ISI modified the existing HVAC equipment, controls and air distribution system. After project completion, Intel installed temperature chart recorders in different parts of the lab and measured a room temperature range of +/- 0.25 °F over a 24-hour period. Our performance exceeded Intel's requirements.

  • HVAC, piping, and controls were designed for the conversion of a 13,000 square foot cafeteria to offices and a first aid facility. Substantial floor to ceiling perimeter glass area was considered during the HVAC design to maintain adequate office temperature. After project completion, temperature chart recorders in different parts of the office area measured a temperature range of +/- 0.5 °F over a 3-day period, another accomplishment that exceeded Intel's requirements.
