| City of Portland Portland, OR. Three of the City of Portland’s main water pipes (called conduits) run approximately 20 miles from the Bull Run reservoir to the city’s distribution system. The original installations did not allow for interconnection among conduits. Intertie of each of these conduits was developed by ISI in conjunction with KCM/Tetratech Consulting Engineers and consists of nine 66 inch diameter valves. Power was brought to a remote intertie site from about 2 miles away by overhead and underground power lines. Services included the design of motor controls, drives, standby generator, programmable logic controller, lighting, communications (SCADA), and instrumentation. |
