Coca-Cola Fountain Steam boilers were originally used to create hot water for sterilization. ISI analyzed the existing system and considered the installation of high efficiency quick recovery hot water boilers, where water is heated and stored at the desired temperature without generating steam. The installation of a new hot water system reduced energy cost by 35 percent. ISI worked with the Oregon Department of Energy to secure a $100,000 energy tax credit for this project. |
