ISI completed 3D CAD modeling and drafting for preliminary engineering and final design of the Conduit Isolation and Improvements project. The design includes nine 66-inch valves with motor actuators and controls to coordinate operations. In addition, a number of bypass, drain, vent, and sampling valves are needed to operate the system

With the many changes and what-ifs that were addressed during the design of this project 3D CAD tools saved a lot of time. Many design changes require many sheet updates in the 2D CAD world. However, with the modification of 3D models, 2D drawings are automatically updated, improving quality assurance.
